Sacagawea

A fur trader from Canada often visited her village. His name was Toussaint Charbonneau (TOO sant Shar bun NO). He was three times as old as Bird Woman. But when he saw her, he wanted her for his wife. She was traded to him. She and Charbonneau settled in a village of Mandan & Ninnetaree Indians. By the age of 15, she was expecting a child.
